Indonesia repatriated 20 foreign teachers

Jakarta: Indonesia will send home 20 foreign teachers working in a prestigious international school country on immigration violations after allegations that a child is sexually abused by the cleaning staff that triggers anger.

The teacher, from the Jakarta International School, hold different nationalities, including the United States, Australia and Britain, according to immigration officials, MaryotoSumadi.

“Of the 26 teachers that we investigated, 20, guilty of immigration violations and will be deported, “he said, explaining they do work differently from their official duties to the state authorities.

The decision follows after the scandal last April with allegations of sexual assault on six years boy by cleaning workers in school’s toilet where the school is a favorite among expatriates and wealthy Indonesians.

The crisis peaked when second children come and alleged being abuse, and according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation probe an American teacher who has worked at the school suspected as serial pedophile.

The case sparked outrage among the public and gained media coverage for the cases of sexual abuse in high school in Indonesia.

Sumadisaid, 11 of the teachers involved will be sent home tomorrow while the rest would follow.
