KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) offers another opportunity for Malaysian exporters in Cambodia by organizing the Malaysia Services Exhibition (MSE) and Malaysia Showcase 2014, in Phnom Penh from 10 to June 12.
MSE Cambodia is the second series organized by MATRADE.
The agency said in a statement the 62 Malaysian companies will participate in the event and showcase to expose their capabilities and expertise as a provider of services and products.
This exhibition will focus on the nine groups of construction and related services, building materials, education, franchise, business services, electrical and electronics, fast-moving consumer goods, health care products and industrial products.
The services and products to be promoted at the show was the architecture and interior design, construction and related services , engineering services , franchising, education , solar photovoltaic systems as well as food and beverages .
MATRADE also organizes business discussions between representatives of Malaysian companies and foreign companies.
Currently, more than 800 business meetings between Malaysian companies and service providers in Cambodia are arranged.
Bilateral trade between Malaysia and Cambodia from January to March 2014 a total of RM347.6 million compared to RM276.1 million in the same period in 2013, an increase of 25.9 percent.
Total exports between Malaysia and Cambodia in the first three months of 2014 increased by 29.9 per cent to RM197.7 million.
