Astronomers find rocky planets larger than Earth

BOSTON: Astronomers has finds a new rocky planets behind the solar system with weighing over 17 times more than Earth and this new planet’s size is twice larger than earth, scientists said today.

This new Planet called as "mega-Earth" revolves around the star Kepler-10, located about 560 light-years from Earth in the constellation of the northern sky.

The discovery was announced at a meeting of the Astronomical Society of the United States here caused an uproar because of the question on how a big planet with gas, do not have the hard rocky just like Earth or Mars.
