Police to act against Muslim convert for flouting civil court order

Backing down from his earlier stand, Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar has directed the Perak police to arrest Muslim convert Muhd Ridhuan Abdullah for forcefully taking away his six-year-old child from his former wife despite the Ipoh High Court granting her custody rights.

The Inspector General of Police, who had earlier said police would not interfere as two court orders were in force in the interfaith custody battle, has instructed Perak police chief Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani to immediately return his daughter, Prasana Diksa, to kindergarten teacher M. Indira Gandhi.

New portal Malaysiakini quoted Khalid (pic) as saying that police were trying to find the husband and the child.

Ipoh High Court Justice Lee Swee Seng had on June 11 ordered the police to arrest Ridhuan return Prasana to Indira. - TheMalaysianInsider
