Each player is rewarded RM20, 000 after take home the FA Cup

Kuantan: A total of RM600, 000 allocated by the Pahang Government to Tok Gajah Team , who won the FA Cup after beating Felda United FC on Saturday.

Remuneration lucrative announced by the State Secretary, Datuk Seri Muhammad Safian Ismail at the event celebrating the end of Pahang waiting for eight years for FA Cup, with the last time the team won the Cup in 2006.

Muhammad Safian said the remuneration of RM20, 000 for each players, coaches and officials spurred hopes to raise the image of football in Pahang.

"For the state government, we certainly are proud and grateful to Tok Gajah Team that once again bring honor to Pahang after won the Malaysia Cup last season, followed by Sultan Ahmad Shah Cup and FA Cup last weekend.

"This goes to prove to the other teams that Tok Gajah Team is the new power of football.

Desire two more titles

"We hope that all players will try harder to capture two more prestigious title of champion of the Super League and Malaysia Cup defense that won last year," he said.

At the event, Tok Gajah Team were paraded with double decker bus from Kuantan Toll Plaza, near Bukit Goh here before celebrate by 1,000 fans at Stadium Darul Makmur yard.

Meanwhile, the operator of Pahang, Zainal Abidin Hassan thanked the state government for appreciates the sacrifices of the player for the success.

He said it demonstrated that leadership of Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob incredibly passionate about football and keeping the development of Tok Gajah Team.

"These benefits are also considered lucrative and it is also hoped to inspire all players and coaches to work hard to continue to maintain an excellent pace, especially in the Super League and Malaysia Cup," he said.
