Malaysia continues to strengthen foreign investors pull

Malaysia's strong position among Asian countries in terms of economy to attract foreign investment.
It thus improving the competitiveness of the country to achieve quality investment opportunities in advanced economies

Amplios Consultants Pte Ltd Director, Wilson Fyffe, said Asia as a whole has a very strong forecast growth of foreign investment.

“Malaysia now has the edge and is well placed to capitalize on the potential investment, but still need to be careful with the rise of the Indonesian economy”, said Wilson Fyffe, President Director of Amplios Consultants Pte Ltd

It is the existence of large funds, particularly from developed countries who seeking for investment destinations and to explore new markets.

He said Malaysia now have the advantage and are in the best position to capitalize on the potential investment, but still need to be careful with the rise of the Indonesian economy.

Greater potential for Malaysia 

"Indonesia will announce the results of their elections soon and have the potential to develop infrastructure to improve their competitiveness on the overseas investment gain.
"Interestingly, the recent developments in Indonesia also provides great potential for Malaysia to be equally involved in the development of the infrastructure  there," he said at a media briefing on the organization of workshops Malaysia For Asean FDI hub in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

Together with him, the President of the Institute of Economic Research (MIER), Tan Sri Dr Sulaiman Mahbob; Deputy Director MIER, Abdul Khalid Abdul Aziz and MIER executive director Dr Abdul Rashid Zakariah.

Available 10 seminar sessions 

The workshop was organized in collaboration with Futurist MIER Institute will provide 10 seminar sessions that focus on 40 industries from 14 August.

Meanwhile, Zakariah said Malaysia should be able to attract quality investments with a focus on green technology, skilled jobs and investment value.

He said, the focus on investment stated by the government have placed Malaysia at a different position compared to other Asian countries thereby enhancing the competitiveness of the country to a new level.
